Gold again!

Yay, I got gold for IPPT again! Here's a breakdown of my scores. (Note: Scores are really borderline and I guess it could be due to the late nights mac meals my sister insisted! Haha...)

Chin-up: 10
Standing Broad Jump: 234cm
Shuttle Run: 9.9s
Sit-up: 40
2.4km run: 9.44s

Omg, luckily the person behind me started to sprint towards the ending line and caused me to do that too... But that person was a bit luckless cos he got 9.45s. No more IPPT till I ORD le! Woots.

天天火锅? Pui.

We went to eat Tian Tian Huo Guo yesterday. Actually that wasn't our destination but we had to settle for this one cos the other steamboat restaurants were brimming of people. Apparently we still remember the lady who was in the advert for Tian Tian Huo Guo.

Lady: 这里的汤真的很好喝! *grins and puts a thumbs-up*

Photobucket
Saw this on the way. I thought it's going to be closed down soon? Mabbie they used this as a gimmick to attract more customers. Hm...

That place really sucked quite a little. The person showed us the backdoor at the alley claiming that we will be given the VIP seats since we had 8 people. Fine, I thought. But it turned out to be a place full of other people as well. -.-
Photobucket
The backdoor. Ma Chiam going to see "goods" liddat.

Photobucket
My sunglasses damn cool rite. Heh.

Photobucket
Me, Li Yang and Jeff.

Photobucket
8 guys squeezing ard the steamboat.

Photobucket
The shop owners should go bang their heads against the wall for charging $10 for the soup bases. The soup tastes so-so only.

Photobucket

Photobucket
They serve raw food in this manner.

Photobucket
Woo Hoo!!! Amazing TIGER prawns up for grabs! While stocks last.

Photobucket
Some cold blackpepper crabs that are heavily-laden with chlorine that threatened to put the smell of swimming pools to shame.

Photobucket
Jian Feng and Vahnbeo didn't feel worth it to eat the steamboat (although they didn't sae it out) and left a bit earlier...Jeff was a bit hiao.

Photobucket
As much as I would generally like to give positive comments on restaurants that I've visited, this one terribly don't deserve my attention. 1/5. Thank you. I forgot to comment on the drink they provided. It's diluted iced lemon tea with an uncanny taste. The total cost for each person is $27.

We then went to a nearby dessert shop...
Photobucket
Chris told us it is always full of people, and unfortunately, it was true.

Photobucket
WTF?! And the shop assistant almost blew her anger when there were a lot of customers trying to ask her for seats. She looked damn irritated and could break down any moment.

Photobucket
Trying to smile in one of the most uncomfortable location.

But the desserts were great!
Photobucket
Boiled milk with papaya! Hot favorite among girls. Dun ask me why I tried it or whether did it worked ornot... I just wanted to try something new. Haha.

Photobucket
Almond and sesame paste. They taste awesome. Light on texture and taste. Yum.

Photobucket
*slurpsssss*

Photobucket
Were the desserts nice? The smiles are a testament to that. No la, actually this photo was taken before the desserts came. But nonetheless, we all felt the desserts are worth it.

Photobucket
Chilling at Brewerkz.

Photobucket
A gamut of beer (they produced it) for you to choose!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Chris den treated us to Margaritas at Cafe Iguana...

Photobucket
I love the lights.

Photobucket
The ambience is damn good.

Photobucket
It's always me, Li yang and Chris going out to chill. Where's the rest?!

Photobucket
Pear Margarita! Chris said it's half-price (I guess) after 12 midnite. Tastes nice.

Sat on the night-rider home with Li yang and fell asleep halfwae.

Laugh like you never did before...

I came across this piece of joke that is rather funny and thought of sharing it through my blog. Here goes...

Favourite Chocolate Chip Cookies

An elderly man lay dying in his bed. In death's agony, he suddenly smelt the aroma of his favourite chocolate chip cookies wafting up the stairs.

He gathered his remaining strength, and lifted himself from the bed. Leaning against the wall, he slowly made his way out of the bedroom, and with even greater effort forced himself down the stairs, gripping the railing with both hands. With laboured breath, he leaned against the door-frame, gazing into the kitchen.

Were it not for death's agony, he would have thought himself already in heaven: there, spread out upon newspapers on the kitchen table were literally hundreds of his favourite chocolate chip cookies. Was it heaven? Or was it one final act of heroic love from his devoted wife, seeing to it that he left this world a happy man?

Mustering one great final effort, he threw himself toward the table, landing on his knees in a rumpled posture. His parched lips parted; the wondrous taste of the cookie was already in his mouth; seemingly bringing him back to life. The aged and withered hand, shakingly made its way to a cookie at the edge of the table, when it was suddenly smacked with a spatula by his wife.

"Stay out of those," she said, "they're for the funeral."

Lol. Poor old man. Okay, side-tracked a bit, I've found the ultimate way (well, at least for me) to conquer standing-broad jump! We were helping out with Ippt for the regulars last week and we were trying to jump to our gold target (>234cm) using different methods but to no avail. Suddenly, I did another way and jumped 242cm! OMG. My old method (the swing-ing one) allow me to jump 225cm onli. Wahahaha. XD

Now my left ankle hurts like fuck. I don't know why, mabbie it's because I went for this foot massage thingy after getting a haircut last sunday. Hmm. Hope it heals soon

Chill.

I guess "Chill" was really the theme for last night's outing with Chris, Liyang and Jeremy. Hm... let's see... Jeffery pang-seh us again as usual... Our organiser forgot to inform people to come. -.-" Anyway, we went to eat the famous (they claimed) crispy prata at Upp Thomson Rd where Li yang brought us there eagerly.

Photobucket
See! It's recommended by The Newpaper.

Liyang giving his most charismatic smile.

Photobucket
Chris is forcing a smile.

Photobucket
And Sgt Jeremy came!

We chatted quite a fair bit... Men's talk la huh. Until we decided to head to Boat Quay area. The night's still young man...

Photobucket
Eski bar. There weren't a lot of people inside, mabbie it's too cold? But can choose to stay in the room that had normal temp wad.

Photobucket

The temperature here is really sub-zero. Damn cold. Kept trembling when I was posing for photo.

Photobucket
There are a lot of ice on top of the greenish bar, ma chiam sell fish liddat.

We then proceeded to a KTV pub, drank beer, sang 2 song and left promptly when everyone felt tired. Took NR3 home. Damn convenient. Reached home in about 30min and it's $2.50 only. Somemore it passes by the bus stop under my block! Woots.

`
Kong popped by to help rectify my dad's com.

Went to cut hair at hairchitecture and I passed by this small massage shop (sounds sleazy I know). And I went for it! I love doing new stuffs, that's why. Chatted with the lady and found out she just came over from China and this is her 4th day here.

Proceeded home and sis asked me to go out eat.

Photobucket
They happened to give access into the fountain, so I snapped a pic.

We settled on Crystal Jade La Mian and had Niu Nan La Mian.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
Crunchy and Juicy.

Shopped around and went to Starbucks where I bought this delicious durian puffs (recommended by an ex-teacher of mine) to go along with the frappe we ordered and chilled.

Photobucket
